TASTING NOTES: This wine features a deep ruby red color with a dark red core. Smoky and meaty aromas of chocolate, plum and blackberry are deftly melded together with juicy berry flavors followed by silky tannins that coat the mouth with a full and succulent finish. This is a sensuous wine built to last. It will be an exciting 'adventure' to track the evolution of this wine for 7 – 10 years! Extremely rare as only 300 cases were produced.
INSIDER SCOOP: Perhaps the most sought after Pinot Noir vineyard in California, wines from “Pisoni” have consistently scored “Outstanding 93 – 96” ratings from Robert Parker. Located in the Santa Lucia Highlands (south of the Monterey Penninsula), this vineyard is a partnership between Gary Pisoni, of Pisoni Vineyard, and Gary Franscioni. The bud wood of the Pisoni vineyard which came from the famous “La Tache” vineyard in Burgendy.
