8 bottle equivalent - Only 1 Available
ALERT: For the first time ever we’re able to offer you a these extremely rare EXTREMELY BIG bottles of the well-aged 2004 Caymus Special Selection from the winery’s private cellar! This massive “Methuselah” is named for the oldest individual in the Bible and contains the equivalent of 8 regular size bottles. NOTE: Less than 2 units available on a “first come, first serve” basis!
TASTING NOTES: Hold on because this wine is an unforgettable experience from the seductive aromas wafting out of the glass reminiscent of the finest Cohiba cigars. A big bouquet of fresh berries led to the a first sip of this magnificent creation that was so sensuous I had to re-taste one more time just to make sure: YES, this wine actually taste like ‘velvet’….or at least what I would imagine red crushed velvet should taste like! Big, blossomy currants, bold smoky oak on the nose, elegant texture that rests happily on your taste buds, and the proverbial plush and perfect now but built to last tannin structure everyone aspires to but few achieve. The galaxy of flavors on the sultry finish (30 seconds long) remind me of chocolate covered espresso beans. Enjoy now through 2018, peaking in 2014 in our estimation. SERVING NOTE: This is a MASSIVE wine so we suggest that if you can’t resist the temptation to pop the cork on a bottle before 2008, decant it for at least an hour or consider opening it a full 8 hours before you plan to drink it and let it breath (in the bottle) in a cool place.
