PROPRIETOR JOSH PEEPLE’S NOTES for 2005 JACQUELYN CABERNET:
While we have been lucky enough to have the owner of this great vineyard offer us more fruit each year, we have again selected only a few barrels to be bottled with the vineyard designation. Fermented in a combination of small open top tanks and French Oak Puncheons; then Barrel aged in one hundred percent new French oak barrels, this wine has tremendous opulence and massive body, yet retains a sense of balance and overall harmony. Alluring notes of blackberries, vanilla, and coffee dominate the nose. Just as with prior vintages, some may enjoy this wine while it packs a youthful punch, it will drink well for the next 10-15 years.
