TASTING NOTES (4/14/10): This gorgeously silky smooth Chardonnay sourced from the famed Dutton Ranch vineyard (Kistler’s original) is 100% unfiltered and French Oak with indigenous wild yeast then aged for 19 months. Rich and creamy on the palate, this Chardonnay offers notes of lemon oil intertwined with vanilla, caramel cream and honeysuckle as well as great delineation for its massive size. Ultra-smooth and succulent, a symphony of ripe tropical fruit flavors with a hint of Brazil nuts come alive on the seductive finish. This wine will age for at least 5 years, peaking in 2014 most likely. That said, pop the cork on a bottle now and enjoy after decanting (seriously!) for a ½ hour!” The Wine Insiders
INSIDER SCOOP: Introducing Chateau Boswell Chardonnay 2008, our hot pick for Pre-Cult Chardonnay this year. Last year, our #1 Pre-Cult pick was Morlet Family Chardonnay, later awarded a "Classic 98" point rating by Robert Parker LONG AFTER we had sold out! Exciting news is the exact same winemaker, Luc Morlet (also Peter Michael's Executive winemaker) and vineyard sources are behind these Chardonnays ...resulting in a powerhouse effort that combines the age-ability of the finest "grand cru" Burgundy with the full throttle Russian River fruit serious collectors adore. Micro-production means “demand” demand far exceeds our limited “supply” so take advantage of our EXCLUSIVE, pre-ratings pricing and order now before we sell out (again).
