Robert Parker:
"The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is a huge wine bursting with dark fruit, mocha, spices, tar and licorice. It shows remarkable depth, richness and intensity from start to finish. This is a dazzling wine. Dark fruit, spices, leather and licorice are some of the nuances that emerge from this huge Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2007 needs a year or two to shed some its baby fat and tannin. I don't see it offering much pleasure before then, but it is superb. It is very 2007. The 2007 is 96% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2027. 94 points" - The Wine Advocate (12/23/11)

About Luc Morlet: Robert Parker recently gushed “One of northern California’s most talented wine producers is Frenchman Luc Morlet” and rated his current vintage releases 96 – 100 points! "Cult" winemaker Luc Morlet is renowned for crafting Peter Michael's most highly rated Chardonnay, Cabernet, and Sauvignon Blanc blends. Winning our vote for the most promising up-and-coming French winemaker in Napa today, Luc Morlet remains executive wine director at Peter Michael but recently passed the day to day winemaking at Peter Michael to his brother and immediately launched his own wines featuring Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from the most prized vineyards in California as well as select Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Luc Morlet family trace his roots in the wine world back to the Champagne region of France where one of his distant relatives fought in the French military and was rewarded the initial vineyards as a gift from Napoleon.
