"CLASSIC 95" Rating: “This brand new release Cabernet features an exquisitely smooth texture with a wide array of deep, dark, and complex fruit including seductive boysenberry, plum, mocha and a captivating finish reminiscent of “smores” by the campfire (seriously!). Members of our tasting panel also commented on a tantalizing hint of espresso bean flavors on the finish that was so elegant it seemed to float across the palate and then linger seductively for a full minute. Deftly balanced by ultra-plush tannins typical of Napa Valley’s finest Cabernets, the seamless structure and integration of this wine may be savored now - - after decanting - - and bodes well for aging through 2016. If you're a fan of CAYMUS, don't miss this new wine discovery! 95 points.” - The Wine Insiders

History Eleadoro and his wife, Noemi, came to the Napa Valley 1982. They moved to St Helena where Eleadoro began working with his Uncle, Fernando. Fernando introduced Eleadoro to John Caldwell shortly after John began planting his Vineyard there in the Coomsville area. He worked with John in the planting and development of these vineyards and eventually became the Vineyard manager, working there for about 12 years. Shortly after leaving the Caldwell ranch, Eleadoro leased 25 acres of land in the Napa Valley on Big Ranch Road and began to plant a 6 or 7 acres a year. Today he has planted a total of 33 acres of Cabernet in that Oak Knoll area . He has sold grapes from this vineyard to world famous Caymus Vineyards and Phelps (for Insignia!). Rolando Herrera of Mi Sueno winery is his winemaker. His first year of production of the Noemi wine is the 2006 in which he made just four barrels (99 cases.) In 2007 he produced a “whopping” 150 cases of wine total.
