Wine Spectator Review 98 Points A majestic wine that's tremendously aromatic and dense in texture, but amazingly refined. Delineates its ripe plum, blueberry and currant flavors with precision, shading the fruit with nuances of coffee and dark chocolate, hinting at smoke and licorice as the finish laps at the palate like the shore of a deep lake. Shiraz. Best from 2010 through 2020.
TASTING NOTES: Black to the core in color. Very complex amalgam of aromas such as; licorice, tar, earth, cedar chocolate and the blackest of fruits such as boysenberry, blackberry and fresh prunes. Incredibly viscous and concentrated with excellent poise and balance for such a powerful wine, the acid and tannins working in perfect harmony. The tannins are integrated throughout and will help the wine mature gracefully. Extremely difficult to obtain after scoring 98 points from the Wine Spectator, enjoy this wine now after decanting, or hold for 10 years.
