For perspective, the last two vintages of Bodegas El Nido’s rarest Reserve Red bottling has been the Porthos collector favorite import despite it’s $139 price tag. That means the only issue is that due to it’s impeccable track record and avid collector following the “Clio” always sells out within days so please RSVP today. TASTING NOTES:
Glass-coating opaque purple, it exhibits a sensational nose of earth, mushroom, leather, blueberry, and blackberry jam. This super-sexy wine is supple-textured, complex, with vibrant flavors of spicy blue and black fruits and a big-time WOW factor. This is a totally hedonistic effort with exceptional length and balance. It is remarkably light on its feet for such a powerful wine. Enjoy tonight after decanting an hour or anytime over the next 5 years, peaking around 2014 in our estimate.
