We just got our allocation of the brand new Pahlmeyer Jayson Proprietary Red 2005 and, if you recall, we sold out of this wine very quickly last year following the “Outstanding 92 points” rating from the Wine Spectator magazine.
While this new vintage has not been rated yet (you're not going to want to wait for that rating - the wine will be gone by then...), we believe this is the most approachable release of this wine ever and an absolute crowd-pleaser! This is probably because the Jayson wines are made from the exact same grapes as the Pahlmeyer wines ($130+) that the Wine Spectator and Cabernet collectors LOVE.

The 2005 Jayson Red, offering toasty oak, tobacco, tar, graphite and earthy notes blend with spice, cherry, red berry, and dark fruit flavors in this vibrant, complex wine. This integrated, balanced wine ends with a finish that is long and persistent.
