"CLASSIC 96+" Points RATING:
Reminiscent of the best vintages of our favorite Cult Cabernets, this is a powerful and elegant wine with superb balance. Deeply concentrated, this 100% Cabernet is chock full of massive layers of dark fruits, violet, bittersweet chocolate and minerals. A fantastic marriage between a rather muscular, Bordeaux-like minerality and a stronger Napa fruit component. Finishes with terrific spine for aging. Enjoy now (after decanting an hour) or anytime through 2045.
INSIDER SCOOP:

Extremely limited this wine will sell out. Note: fans of Bordeaux will recognize the distinctive bottle shape from Bordeaux's First Growth Chateau Haut Brion.
ABOUT KAPCSANDY FAMILY WINERY
The historic State Lane Vineyard, in the heart of the Napa Valley was first leased by Beringer Estates in 1972 from the McClaskey Family. In 1979, Beringer Estates began bottling the State Lane Cabernet Sauvignon as a
single vineyard designated wine. The remaining grapes were used to launch the now famous Beringer Estates Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon program. The Kapcsandys purchased the property in May, 2000 and in In 2001, they
teamed up with legendary winemaker Helen Turley and her viticulturist husband John Wetlaufer. The first two vintages of wines the 2003 and 2004 were produced by Helen Turley. Currently the wines are produced by Denis
Malbec who not only born at Chateau Latour but also it's head winemaker. |
