Quivet Spring Mtn Cabernet 2009
$69
| 8 cases available

“Classic 95” Rating
Sourced from famed Spring Mountain (home of Pride, Paloma, Cain Five, et. al.) this new release is ideal for Napa Collectors that appreciate "old world" elegance and massive, age-worthy Cabernets! A profound release guaranteed to thrill for 10+ years, peaking around 2016 in our estimate. This beautiful wine displays rich plum and blackberry with a hint of coffee bean and creamy vanilla oak on the long, smooth finish. The tannins overall are prodigious and shapely with a lush feel that is accessible now, and promises long life with optimum maturation.

Quivet Kenefick Ranch Cabernet 2009
$69
| 12 cases available

“Classic 96” Rating
Kenefick Ranch vineyard is located across from Cult Cabernet Araujo and is the current source for many of Napa's most prized collector reds by Plumpjack and Lewis Cellars. Those prized Cabernets trust this vineyard for it's rich, smooth, and complex dark fruit characteristics. The new Quivet displays amazing depth and pedigree. Cassis, white truffle and a subtle Asian spice component greet the senses. Once on the pallet, plush tannins intermixed with a kaleidoscope of dark fruits and Belgium chocolate notes fall into a mid pallet that has an amazing roundness. The finish is where this wine really excels. Ripe and velvety fruit once attacks the pallet with an uncanny balance of wood overtones and minerality, which glide effortlessly into a long finish. Look for this wine to provide immediate enjoyment upon release, yet it will also reward the patient few who can cellar it for 5 to 10 years.
