“Platt Vineyard perches in the sea-facing hills of the Sonoma Coast AVA, where coastal fog and maritime influence slow down ripening to achieve profound complexity. The 2019 vintage evokes classic Burgundy with its vibrant fresh red fruit and elegant, mineral spine. The nose offers complex aromas of strawberry, rich loam, golden caramel and toast. A round, bright core of sweet red cherry and tender raspberry is lifted by fresh cranberry acidity and warm allspice, and cradled by a cool, graphite minerality. The fine tannin structure lends supple support to the slippery texture, and carries the wine to its clean, refreshing red fruit finish.”
