Pingus Flor de Pingus Ribera del Duero 2020

“The (barrel) sample I tasted of the 2020 Flor de Pingus was from a single barrique, so perhaps not 100% representative of what the final blend might be. But it feels really harmonious and elegant, with contained ripeness and very nice integration of the oak. The nose is super aromatic and floral, and the wine is perfumed and showy. The palate is powerful.” - Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate

“Flor is what Peter Sisseck calls "my village wine", sourced from La Horra with a smidgeon from Olmedillo. Featuring 3% Grenache for the first time, as well as 0.5% of white grapes, it's a gentle, precise, beautifully balanced red, with granular tannins, plum, and wild strawberry flavors and a subtle, palate-caressing finish.” - Tim Atkin
