La Sirena Cabernet Blend Studio Series 2021
Details
98 Points | CWA
“This is a seriously impressive Napa Cabernet that delivers the kind of structure and pedigree you normally associate with far more exalted trophy labels. The bouquet unfurls with dark cocoa, cigar box, and semisweet chocolate layered over fresh blueberry and a tangy edge of crunchy red-and-blue fruit. Medium in body yet beautifully proportioned, it strikes a near-perfect balance between generosity and tension, with bright acidity sharpening the flavors and lending real precision. Firm, finely grained tannins compliment the long finish, giving it a confident, collector-worthy architecture and the unmistakable feel of a bottle built to evolve. A standout value that tastes far above the conservative price compared to its lofty pedigree. 98 points.” - California Wine Advisors (3/2026)
Winemaker Notes
“Dark garnet in color, this blend of predominantly Syrah and Cab shows off both varietals layered together, with prominent notes of black cherry-berry fruit, plum and currants, and a touch of savory, meaty character along with appealing spice accents. This would be an excellent steak wine with its beautiful structure, flavors and length. The wine is completely dry, but the mid palate has a sweet impression because of the gorgeous pure fruit flavors. A touch of Cab Franc adds to the initial wow factor, and a bit of Petite Sirah rounds out the blend with a bit of extra power. This elegant work of winemaking artistry will delight with its richness and complexity for many years to come.” - Heidi Peterson Barrett (1/2025)
