Viña Cobos Cabernet Sauvignon Hobbs Estate 2022
Details
98+ Points | CWA
“My favorite wine of the lineup in 2022, the Hobbs Estate Cabernet is one of the most complete, satisfying wines I’ve tasted from Cobos. The site abuts the Marchiori property that gained fame as the source of their earliest efforts, but things have been taken up a few notches. This is so polished, with a fleshy texture that sits on the palate with grace as the layers of flavors almost hypnotize you. The tannins offer a soft and pleasant frame to the dark red fruit, dark chocolate and spices. I already love this, but prepare to be blown away if you can leave it alone for 5-10 years or longer.“ - California Wine Advisors

“Red fruit-driven, the tannins are supple, never rough. Full-bodied, the wine has plenty of backbone but plushness too, with chalky, silty tannins that elongate the palate. Age this for 15-18 years.“ - Jeb Dunnuck
